Mayan jade exhibition

Having received 20,000 visits in the two months since opening its “Divine Faces: The Jade Mayan Mosaics” exhibition, the new Museum of Western Archaeology is extending it for another month until January 8. An exhibition of archeological artefacts from Jalisco and Michoacan will follow.

Rendija photography

To celebrate ten years of existence, Tapatio collective “Rendija” is presenting an exhibition of 500 of their members’ best photos at Guadalajara’s Ex Convento del Carmen.  The photos are organized in nine different themes.

Avenida Juarez 638, one block from Federalismo. Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free.

Spanish exiles

The  Museo del Periodismo y las Artes Graficas is showing a photographic memorial to the massive exodus from Spain during its Civil War of the 1930s. The 74 images were taken by photographers from many nations and not only include scenes from the epoch itself but the Spanish exiles living in their new countries, including Mexico.
