The Guadalajara Grooves & Blues Festival, scheduled for this coming weekend at the Calle 2 events center in Zapopan, has been postponed and rescheduled for the weekend of November 18-19.
Refunds through Ticketmaster can be obtained after May 22, while those who bought their tickets directly from the event’s promoters, Quatro Producciones, should go to the Calle 2 box office, May 22-27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Anyone who intends to enjoy the festival come November will not be sorry: the event’s two biggest draws, Charlie Musselwhite and John Mayall, are still on the bill. For the uninitiated, Musselwhite is considered by many to be the greatest blues harmonica player alive, while John Mayall almost single-handedly ignited the British blues explosion in the 1960s, mentoring, among others, Eric Clapton.
