Some of Jose Clemente Orozco’s fabled murals are gleaming once again.
Restoration work on the murals he painted in the “Paraninfo” – located in the old Universidad de Guadalajara rectory building (which also houses the Museo de las Artes or Musa) on Avenida Juarez – was completed this week.
The earthquake on May 11, 2016 left cracks in some of the murals gracing this historic hall that hosts many of the university’s formal ceremonies. A visit to Musa should always be accompanied by a peek at these striking murals.
