The young men and women from the National Youth Orchestra of the United States gave two concerts in Guadalajara last week as part of their summer tour to Latin America.
During their stay, the musicians met with officials from the U.S. Consulate, and had a cultural exchange with Mexican students enrolled in the English Access Microscholarship Program at UdG Proulex. In a display of friendship, the students sang “Cielito Lindo” for their guests, while the orchestra members gave a rendition of “El Son de la Negra.”
