Romeo & Juliet

The Ballet Jalisco, the only professional classical troupe in the state, teams up with the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra to present the renowned work by Sergei Prokofiev, based on the play by William Shakespeare.

Monday concerts

Concerts/recitals are held each Monday at this classy and relatively new cultural complex to the north of the city. September 25: Canadian violinist Chris Wilshere, accompanied by the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Guadalajara.

Tuesday recitals

The Jalisco Culture Secretariat’s “Martes de Música y Ópera” series showcases talented classical musicians at free-of-charge Tuesday evening recitals. September 26: Recital in honor of music teacher Leonor Montijo Beraud, winner of the Jalisco 2010 Culture Prize, with Róbert Márkus (violin), Manuel Olivares (viola), Yalissa Cruz Espino (cello), Rosa Maria Valdez (piano).

Contemporary dance
