A unique filmmaker who produces, writes and directs erotic productions with a film aesthetic that explores human sexuality from a feminine perspective will be honored at the 33º Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG).
Born in Sweden, Erika Lust produced, wrote and directed The Good Girl (2004), a short porn film for women which was later incorporated into her award-winning anthology film Five Hot Stories for Her (2007). She also directed the experimental documentary Barcelona Sex Project (2008) and the acclaimed erotic films Life Love Lust (2010) and Cabaret Desire (2011).
In addition, she is the author of the books “Good Porn” (2009), “Love Me Like You Hate Me” (2010), “Erotic Bible to Europe” (2010), the best-selling novel “La Canción De Nora” (2013) and “Let’s Make A Porno: A Practical Guide To Filming Sex” (2013).
Lust’s latest and most ambitious project, XConfessions, combines her groundbreaking cinematic style with the public’s own sex stories. Its crowdsourced platform allows users to share their personal sex stories – which she later turns into short film. XConfessions has over 100 films released to this day.
She says: “I pledge to create new waves in adult cinema, to show all of the passion, intimacy, love and lust in sex, where the feminine viewpoint is vital.”
