Bruce Harris Quartet
Third ”NY Jazz All Stars” concert of the year sees trumpeter Bruce Harris and his quartet come to town. Inspired by acclaimed director Spike Lee’s “Mo Better Blues,” Harris became enamored with the trumpet and at the age of 13 his musical journey started. He has been heavily influenced by Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Clifford Brown and Dizzy Gillespie. Harris’s professional career as a performer has been defined by his infectious joy, undeniable passion and youthful energy. His chops were honed in many of New York’s premier music venues and jazz clubs.

The Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra performs works by Ravel, Chopin and Dutilleux. The invited soloist, acclaimed pianist Vadym Kholodenko from the Ukraine, is back on the concert circuit after suffering the tragic loss of his two small children several years ago in Dallas, Texas. Marco Parisotto conducts the closing concert in the city’s Festival de Mayo.
