No one performs Mahler better than our state orchestra

The Mexican Mahler Society has recognized the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra as the best interpreters of the works of Gustavo Mahler in the country.

Mahler Society President Francisco Bricio (right) presented orchestra director Jesus Medina with the honor at the final concert of the summer season held last weekend in Guadalajara’s Teatro Degollado, even though a piece by Mahler was not on the program.
