Arts and crafts fair scheduled Nov. 3

The annual Lake Chapala Society (LCS) Arts and Crafts Fair and Children’s Art Contest is set for Saturday, November 3, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the LCS campus.

The event will be set up on the back lawn and patio and display works by local artists and artisans, both foreign and Mexican. There will be lots of handmade jewelry and unique gift items with an emphasis on holiday giving. The Mexican community will also be cooking favorite traditional dishes throughout the day and there are always plenty of quiet, comfortable places on the grounds to rest and enjoy your meal. Various beverages will also be available.

The gazebo will be filled with the latest artworks by students in the LCS Children’s Saturday Art Program. You’ll find wonderful holiday greeting cards created by the kids and there will be a judged contest with three cash prizes awarded. The top winner will have his or her art featured on the cover of the next LCS directory. Do make a point of stopping at the event. You won’t be sorry.
