Donations needed for 'Maestros' fair

Organizers of the upcoming Feria Maestros del Arte are on the lookout for donations of Mexican folk art. They will set up shop at Can-Am Day at the Lake Chapala Society on July 2 to re-sell the donated art to help defray costs of the popular fair.

The Feria’s mission is “to preserve and promote Mexican folk and indigenous art” and does not charge its participants.  There is no booth fee and no commission on sales. All the money the Mexican artists and crafts people make from sales can go home with them to support their families and their communities.

The “Pay it Forward” sales table at Can-Am Day is one of the ways the Feria’s expenses are covered. If you have one or more pieces of folk art that you’d like to donate, please contact Bridget Andrews at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
