Diego Rojas Miramontes (one of the first violins at the Jalisco Philharmonic and a staff member at CREM) will present Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, while invited soprano Natalia de la Torre will sing an aria.

The 25-member youth choir will perform “In Excelsis Deo” and “Laudamus Te” from “Gloria,” as well as sing some Christmas carols.

Tickets, 150 pesos, are available at Diane Pearl, the Auditorio, Viva la Musica, and Dental del Lago. The proceeds will help CREM continue its mission to offer high quality music education to children and teenagers at Lakeside.

CREM has been able to find a balance between discipline and really making progress and, at the same time having a happy, healthy, safe and fun environment where self-esteem in the students is one of the main objectives.

Almost half of the CREM students need financial support to attend music classes. For the past five years CREM has offered a scholarship program so that any child can have access to music education. At the end of the last school year CREM held a series of didactical concerts at public schools to attract more children.
