‘Dozen Divas’ – an unforgettable one-woman extravaganza

That’s Entertainment Ajijic presents “The Dozen Divas Show” starring Dorothy Bishop Thursday, February 9, 6 p.m. at the Auditorio de la Ribera. 

Bishop was a finalist in Season Four of America’s Got Talent. She has thrilled New York audiences for years with her incredible voice, glamorous costumes and wicked sense of humor. She has performed at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops, Joes Pub at the Public Theater, Lincoln Center at Alice Tulley Hall, Feinstein’s 54 Below, The Bon Soir, Town Hall, The Triad Theater, and is currently in her third year at the famous Metropolitan Room in New York City with her critically acclaimed one-woman musical extravaganza “The Dozen Divas Show.”

Bishop graduated from Yale University School of Music and has sung almost every diva opera role in the lyric repertoire. She has also performed her Divas show, which includes Cher, Adele, Dolly, Barbra, Stevie Nicks, Kristin Chenoweth and the Metropolitan Opera’s Renee Fleming among others, on ocean liners Queen Mary 2, QE2, and Regent Seven Seas.
