Besides its links with locales that travel-hungry photographer Larry Orinovsky has visited or called home, perhaps his work’s most outstanding feature is its frequent depiction of beauty in the creations of others, be it carpentry, sculpture, architecture, handicrafts or even a row of colorful botas vaqueras mexicanas (Mexican cowboy boots).
In a showing and sale of Orinovsky’s work at Casa del Sol Inn in Ajijic, his framed, unlimited- and limited-edition prints will be featured in a meet-and-greet event Friday, April 23, starting at 6 p.m. There, visitors will notice subject matter from Mexico, Latin America and the southwest United States and perhaps something from inside or near the Lakeside home where he has resided for just eight months.
