A day of caroling by Lakeside Singers was born around 2008 when “newbies” to Lakeside were lamenting they missed the caroling where they had come from.
The group decided to carol at some of the Lakeside convalescent/independent living homes and has continued to do so one or more days each December, except for 2020. Each year a few more people with a few more Santa hats and festive apparel have joined in, as the “word has spread.”
Lakeside Singers have no rehearsals, unless you count the warm-up song or two at Christ Church Lakeside before traveling to the first home; no membership fees; and a caroling schedule where participants can pick the times that suit their own personal schedule.
