Ajijic already abounds with plenty of eye-catching street art, but the latest addition by young muralist Mario Ramírez captures the singular spirit of village life like no other.
Discreetly located on Calle Felipe Angeles a block north of the highway at the corner of Marcos Castellanos, the painting was commissioned to adorn the back wall of Inn Ajijic, a three-unit upscale guest house. The artist has depicted local scenery with people engaged in the typical festivities that make the town so unique. The mural was dedicated on Saturday, August 26, when government officials and a crowd of friends and neighbors gathered for a festive street party with live entertainment.
