End the year with a laugh at Bare Stage

Bare Stage will close out the year with “I Hate Hamlet,” a sparkling, supernatural romantic comedy bursting with wit, heart and theatrical mischief.

pg19aThe plot revolves around a Hollywood TV star who begrudgingly takes the role of Hamlet, only to see his life spiral into chaos. The ghost of the legendary John Barrymore, sword fights, séances and sizzling chemistry collide in this hilarious and heartfelt clash of ego, ambition and desire. As the star is pushed toward greatness, he must also navigate a passionate, complicated romance that blurs the line between art and love. “I Hate Hamlet” is irresistibly funny, hauntingly romantic, and utterly enchanting!

Rosann Balbontin directs the stellar cast, including Catherine Caldera, Greg Custer, Linda Freeman, Valerie Jones, Jeff Kingsbury and John Ward.

Show dates are Friday to Sunday, December 26 to 29. All shows are at 4 p.m. Seats held till 3:50 p.m. Tickets are 200 pesos on Friday and 300 pesos on Saturday and Sunday. Bare Stage is located at San Lucas 19 in Riberas del Pilar. Now with air conditioning and hearing assist headsets. Door and bar open at 3 p.m. All bar proceeds go to Operation Feed. Handicap parking in front; otherwise, please use the parking lot.
