Flamenco & pop: Two amazing shows at LLT!

On Monday, July 13, Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) will host Gala Flamenca, world-class flamenco dancing and music, followed on Saturday, July 18 with a stunning performance by the local Regional Center for Musical Studies (CREM).

“LLT is not just for expat plays anymore,” explained LLT President David Ellison. “It is such an honor and pleasure for us to welcome such amazing Mexican performing arts groups and to help them raise needed funds for their programs and for local nonprofits. LLT now serves all Lakeside.”

The flamenco extravaganza is produced by Pulso Flamenco del Lago, and will feature, among other similarly acclaimed artists, Paulina Ruiz Hernández, Sophia Arce, Artistic Director Emilia Gálvez and prodigy Mario Ruiz, who enjoys an international reputation for merging Spanish flamenco with Mexican Soul. Proceeds from these performances will benefit Ajijic Cares.  The two shows are at 3 and 7 p.m.

Five days later, CREM will present an energetic and dynamic concert featuring music from iconic pop groups and singers, including Coldplay, Queen, ABBA, Alicia Keys and Michael Jackson. It’ll be a vibrant program for all ages with the participation of the chamber orchestra, the children’s choir, the youth choir  and the CREM band – all directed by Maestro Emmanuel Medeles. Proceeds will support the CREM scholarship program.  The sole show is at 4 p.m.

Tickets for the flamenco performance are 500 pesos, and 350 pesos for the CREM show. Both are available at lakesidelittletheatre.com/tickets or at the LLT box office before the performances. Patrons with a Mexican INE receive a 100-peso discount at the box office or by making a reservation via This email address is being protected from spambots.
