Theater workshop

The Actor’s Workshop to be led by Jo Romero has been changed to the patio of the Bare Stage Theatre. Originally planned for the Bravo! Theatre, the event was moved to facilitate social distancing, said organizer Roseann Wilshere. While no spaces are available for the first workshop (limited to ten) beginning Monday, November 9, a few spaces may be open for the second workshop that begins Saturday, November 14. LLT third show

Lakeside Little Theatre’s Ajijic Reader’s Theatre (ART) next production, “Lunenburg,” runs November 13-15 and 20-22,  Covid restrictions permitting. All shows are at 4 p.m.

The play, by Norm Foster, is a philosophical comedy about healing and coming to understand oneself — subtle comedy that envelops you in its warmth.

Georgette Richmond directs Darlene Sherwood, Tina Dawn Leonard, and Brian Fuqua.

Covid-19 precautions will be in place for all performances with open-air seating in LLT’s Angel Terrace for approximately 40 individuals, while maintaining a minimum of six feet social distancing. If Jalisco continues with the current “emergency button” Covid restrictions past the present dates noted, the show dates will be changed.

Tickets, 150 pesos, are available by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..">This email address is being protected from spambots. Feria Maestros del Arte

Although the Feria Maestros del Arte, which normally runs in November, has been cancelled, a website now allows you to purchase direct from the artisans: www.feriamaestros2.com. Once in the site, click on COVID-19 SALES to find links to each artisan’s website. The more than 70 artisan sites are listed under broad categories such as rugs, bags, metal, etcetera, to make it easier to view the crafts you are interested in. Each site contains information about the artist or family of artisans whose crafts are listed, along with photos, prices and a short blurb on each item.
