“Something Rotten”

Lakeside Little Theatre’s “Something Rotten” is a hilarious Broadway hit about two brothers who try to beat Shakespeare at his own game by writing the very first musical. This show features an ensemble of 16 singers and dancers, six of whom will be on LLT’s stage for the first time. Above, Patteye Simpson and Nathaniel Pusey are jazzed about how much fun they are having rehearsing for the show. Performances are February 27 to March 10. Tim Johnson directs. Tickets, 500 pesos, available at lakesidelittletheatre.com or at the box office one hour before each show.
“Kopalli”

The Ballet Folklorico Nuevo Jalisco and Colectiva Pardo-Heli & Oniric present “Kopalli” on Sunday, March 1, with shows at 1 and 5 p.m. at the Centro Para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera. This fictional story is based on Quetzalcótl and Kukulcán, the plumed serpent, and reminds us of the importance of living in harmony with Mother Earth and the living creatures on it. Tickets, 500 pesos, are available at boletia.com and the box office.
