Traditional music fest

La Son de las Olas traditional Mexican music festival hosted by the Chapala municipal government continues with more events through Easter Sunday, April 16.  

Galeria Sol Mexicano

An artists’ reception featuring Enrique Gordiano Avila, Paulina Careterro and Frank Howell opens Friday, April 7, 4-7 p.m. at Galeria Sol Mexicano. All three artists are regular exhibitors at the gallery and have some exciting new work for this show. 

The Naked Stage

The Naked Stage Readers’ Theatre opens “Dry Powder,” which deals with the heartless acquisition of big money by private equity firms, Friday, March 31, running through Sunday, April 2. 

LLT romantic comedy

“Second Summer” by Gary Richards, directed by Paul Kloegman, is next up at the Lakeside Little Theatre, running Friday, March 24 to Sunday, April 2. 

Bravo! Theatre comedy 

Bravo Theatre continues with its run of “Vanya and Sonia and Masha & Spike” March 9-12 and 16-19, with 4 p.m. matinees Thursdays and Sundays and 7:30 p.m. shows Fridays and Saturdays. 

ASA judged show

The Ajijic Society of the Arts (ASA) annual judged show opens Saturday, March 4, 5-7 p.m. at the Ajijic Cultural Center. As well as showing in ten categories, artists vie for Best of Show and the People’s Choice Award.
