This Saturday, Galeria Di Paola de Ajijic opens a fascinating photo exhibit focusing on the lives of niñeras or nanas (nannies or women who care for the small children of affluent parents) as seen through the eyes of renowned documentary photographer Patrica Aridjis.

Naked Stage comedy
The Naked Stage Readers Theater presents “Here on the Flight Plan,” by Norm Foster, for a three-day run Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29 in the events salon located behind Daniel’s Restaurant, Rio Bravo 10 on Ajijic’s west side.
Cantantes del Lago
Lakeside’s own community choir, Los Cantantes del Lago, is starting rehearsals on October 1 for its upcoming holiday concerts celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah.
Miramontes tribute
A huge crowd of well-wishers turned up at the Centro Cultural de Ajijic (CCA) on September 6 to honor renowned sculptor Miguel Miramontes and join him for the unveiling of the sculpture Los Sobrevivientes, his gift to the town.
Merry mariachi show
Mariachi Imperial from Bogota, Colombia and Mariachi Nuestras Raices from Los Angeles, California raised the rafters with two hours of rousing music played for the enthusiastic audience gathered for the International Marachi Festival show held last Sunday at Ajijic’s La Huerta events salon.
