Radical extremists just need some kindly understanding

People with extremist views are less able to do complex mental tasks, research suggests.

A Cambridge University team says their findings could be used to spot people at risk from radicalization.  That would be in addition to the obvious whiny cowardice.

Extremist attitudes and conspiracies tend to see the world in black and white. Complexity of any sort is baffling to people with radical views. As well as having a conscience.

For example:

Liberal minded people want massive money channeled out of elections. Radical conservatives want massive voting out of our elections.

Liberals want to keep voters alive during the pandemic. So-called real conservatives consider mortality pro-active conservatism.

They shouldn’t take it personally that, according to Ozy Presidential Daily Brief, nine great apes — five bonobos and four orangutans — have become the first nonhuman primates to get vaccinated against Covid-19. Let me add: not to worry — other nonhuman primates will be available for vaccinations as well.
