And this is often aggravated when some expats are found to push the “demand-side” economics of a bee keeper.
That is, the honey-grabbers enjoy their apicultural treasure, while the bees continue to support their needs. As an analogue, it often appears that way to locals when they see gringos flaunting their wealth in the face of struggling Mexican workers whose standard of living is tiers lower. The cost of living for many Mexicans, including many who are now la nueva media clase here, goes up because of outsiders’ flood of discretionary spending while their income is unable to keep up. So, one can understand the distemper of hard working nationals.
