It’s time for a brief history of seeds and nuts

As the world turns weird, thoughts escape to seeds and nuts.

Remember “seedless.” Growers and farmers worked for decades to breed out seeds from oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, grapes and watermelons—a humiliating thing to do to any living thing.

Well, seeds and nuts are back, because it’s good to flip the channel from wearying world news to the news media sensation of seeds’ and nuts’ health benefits. I am personally interested because claims are that they help fight cognitive decline. As such, they are a staple of my diet.
