Following the American Society (Amsoc) board meeting on Tuesday, October 18, Club Chapalita, located at the intersection of San Bonifacio and Inglaterra, will hold an open house for Amsoc members, from 11:30 a.m.
The sports club offers tennis, basketball, soccer and volleyball courts, as well as a play area for children. Two large gym rooms contain bicycle and running machines and weights. A personal trainer is available to help exercisers develop a tailored routine. There is a jacuzzi to reinvigorate tired bodies, and a steam sauna room with day-lockers. A heated outdoor semi-Olympic pool graces a terrace.

Tickets are now on sale for Amsoc’s Oktoberfest/Halloween Luncheon on Thursday, October 27. Doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch, served at 1 p.m., will feature imported veal sausage, sauerkraut, German potato salad, and apple pie for dessert. Don’t forget to wear a Halloween costume! Cost: 120 pesos.
Clinton versus Trump! Amsoc’s Tuesday, November 8, U.S. Election Night Watch Party begins at 7:30 p.m. The kitchen will not be open, so attendees are asked to bring their own snacks and food to share. There will be a cash bar. A 20-peso donation is appreciated.
