Tasty Thanksgiving meals on the menu in Guadalajara

The American Society (Amsoc) Thanksgiving Day feast is scheduled for Thursday, November 24.  Doors open at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at 1 p.m.

The dinner menu features roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato and apple compote, sage bread stuffing, turkey gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and pumpkin pie.  Organizers ask that tickets be purchased by Friday November 18, so they know how many turkeys to buy. Cost: 210 pesos for adults, 110 for children under 12].  

Amsoc is located a few blocks from the glorieta with the “Estampida” (horse stampede) sculpture, at Avenida San Francisco 3332 between Juan Bernardino and Federico Javier Clavijero. (33) 3121-2395.

Plans are complete for the St. Mark’s Anglican Church Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, November 26, 2:30 p.m.  Turkey and all the trimmings and pie can be had for 200 pesos.
