American Scoiety to host art sale during Thanksgiving dinner

Abstract and realistic paintings as well as original photography will be on display and for sale before, during and after the American Society of Jalisco (AMSOC) annual Thanksgiving dinner, November 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AMSOC spokesperson Cam Esser said the artwork is by three artists: Luis Cotto, a former AMSOC member now living in Mexico City; Ana Amador, a new member of AMSOC; and the late Joyce Bownds, longtime resident of Guadalajara.

“Cotto will show both color and black-and-white photos. Amador will offer vibrant abstract paintings, and Bownds’ enchanting oil paintings were done during the many years she lived here,” she explained.

The artwork is cash and carry; checks and credit cards will not be accepted. The sale is one day only.

“Please reserve for Thanksgiving dinner by November 18,” Esser added. “And bring whoever you like or come alone.”

AMSOC, American Society of Jalisco, Avenida San Francisco 3332 between Juan Bernardino and Federico Javier Clavijero, in Colonia Chapalita, about five blocks west of glorieta “Estampida” in Guadalajara. (33) 3121-2395.
