Spenser McMullen and his wife Cecilia Villanueva were two of the 50 plus people enjoying the festivities at the American Society of Jalisco (Amsoc) celebration of U.S. Independence Day, July 7.

Everyone is invited to a July Fourth picnic and game day in St. Mark’s garden (the church hall in case of rain), the afternoon of Saturday, July 2.

New consulate open house

Last Saturday’s Guadalajara Pride march, the second LGBTQ parade in the city in a week, included a group of employees from the U.S. Consulate General who joined the procession from the Minerva to the city center holding a banner expressing their “support for equality.” 

On Wednesday of this week, tens of thousands of developers, gamers, geeks and hackers will descend on Expo Guadalajara for Campus Party 2016.

After their graduation ceremony last Wednesday, eighth graders at the American School in Guadalajara naturally were jumping for joy and taking photos.
