Food, fashion & auction headline fundraiser for Pro-auditorio

A food tasting featuring the cuisine of local restaurants, a fashion show and a silent auction are the components of a unique fundraising event for the Auditorium Improvement Project set for Friday, December 9, 3-6 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society.

“The Colors and Tastes of Ajijic and Silent Auction” will treat “foodies” to a choice of tasty samples of chicken mole from Dona Lola’s, Indian appetizers from the Secret Garden, ceviche from Lety’s Mariscos, sushi from Ricki’s, shrimp bisque from Yve’s, paella from Tabarka and strudel from Johanna’s.

Fashionistas can marvel at designs from Alma Gutierrez, Creaciones del Lago, Fiaga, Oricol, Telares Los Reyes, Ana R., Lourdes Garcia, Ana Yañez and Ana Velazquez

To top off the lavish show – which begins at 3:45 p.m.  – items donated from the participating boutiques and fashion houses will be featured at a silent auction. On offer will be original works of art, fine jewelry, a week at the beach, vacation trips, dinners for two, free entrance to the local writers’ conference, a set of golf equipment and more.

Tickets to this unique event are 200 pesos each and include one drink from the bar and four food tasting samples. They are on sale now at the LCS Tickets, Etc. booth from 10 a.m. to noon on weekdays, at Diane Pearl’s and Charter Club Tours.

Jump in and enjoy these representatives of Lakeside’s great lifestyle while you have a wonderful time and improve the Auditorio de la Ribera that we all use.
