San Andres Catholic Church in Ajijic will offer an evening Mass (Misa de Gallo) in Spanish on Monday, December 24, 8 p.m. after the viewing of the live manger scenes arranged on the atrium of the church from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, December 25 a Christmas Day Mass will be offered in English at 9 a.m.
Lakeside Presbyterian Church located on the mountain side of the carretera just west of S&S Auto and Bubba’s Restaurant will hold a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. Pastor Ross Arnold’s sermon will be “To Those On Whom His Favor Rests,” from Luke 2: 1-20. The service will include lots of carols and children’s pageant and enjoying lots of traditional Christmas goodies after the service.The Christmas Morning Service will be at 10 a.m. The sermon will be a short message, “To All Who Did Receive Him” from John 1: 1-14. The service will be a time of joy and celebration with lots of music.Little Chapel by the Lake and Christ Church Anglican Fellowship will celebrate Christmas with a joint Communion Service on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m., ending with a candle-lit “Silent Night.” The service will begin with Christmas carols and the Rite II Eucharist liturgy will be filled with music of the season. Father Danny Borkowski will celebrate the Eucharist and Reverend Gene Raymer, the new permanent pastor of Little Chapel by the Lake, will preach using Isaiah 9:2-7 as his text. There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments after the service. The Little Chapel by the Lake is located on the mountain side of the Carretera near Chula Vista.
Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church at San Lucas 19 in Riberas del Pilar will celebrate on Monday, December 24 with carols and anthems being sung beginning at 6:15 p.m. A Festival Christmas Choral Eucharist will begin at 7 p.m. The traditional bonfire will be lit in the garden after the service and will feature plethora of Christmas treats provided by members of the congregation. Tuesday, December 25, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 10 a.m., followed by fellowship time in the garden. Rector Winston Welty will preach at both services.
Abundant Life Assembly of God located next to Mailboxes at Carretera Chapala-Jocotepec 140 will hold a Candlelight Communion Service in English on December 24, 6:30 p.m. The Spanish-language service will begin at 7 p.m.
