Ajijic residents and friends are invited to support a town beautification project by contributing to the First Annual Plant-In scheduled for Friday, June 14, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the waterfront park adjacent to the pier.
Folks who are clearing their home gardens for the impending rainy season are encouraged to share plants that need to be divided, bushes or trees that have overgrown their spaces or other kinds of surplus flora in support of the effort to green up public spaces for all to enjoy.
Garden clubs, gardeners, green thumbs and plant enthusiasts are welcome to lend assistance. A crew of municipal employees will be on hand to do the heavy lifting.
