Christ Church Episcopal has been taking its “Church-in-a-Box” to La Sagrada Familia (The Holy Family) church in Mazamitla since 2012.
Now, The Holy Family Mission has a circuit-riding priest who serves several Mexican missions. He is Canon Habacuc Ramos Huerta, who has returned to the Diocese of Western Mexico after serving as secretary of the Anglican Church of Mexico at its Provincial Office in Mexico City. Canon Habacuc has approved Christ Church Lakeside’s offer to join with The Holy Family Mission on Sunday, January 31, for a combined service in Mazamitla.
Those attending from Lakeside are asked to bring foods to share for a joint lunch after the service. Christ Church will provide some chicken. Travelers will meet at Farmacia Guadalajara in Ajijic and depart promptly at 9:15 a.m. for the noon service in Mazamitla. Newcomers and visitors to Lakeside, as well as members of other churches, are welcome to join in but must let Kay Borkowski (This email address is being protected from spambots.
