U.S. Consul General Tanya C. Anderson is scheduled for an introductory visit to the Lake Chapala area on Friday, January 29, following a two-stop itinerary to meet local expats and address issues of common concern.
The American Legion Post Seven in Chapala has announced that they will welcome the diplomat at a “meet and greet” reception programmed from 11 a.m. to noon.
From there she will go the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) campus for a town hall meeting, 2 to 3 p.m., officers at LCS confirm.
Anderson assumed duties as the head diplomat at the U.S. Consulate in Guadalajara last September. Next week’s sojourn will be her first official encounter with citizens residing at lakeside.
