The Lake Chapala Shrine Club has scheduled its tenth annual BBQ Ribfest for Wednesday March 2, at the Cumbres Jardin Event Center located at the top of Chula Vista Norte. The four-hour feast and dance party will start at 1 p.m.
The event will feature a mixed grill menu prepared on the open-air patio by the staff from Tony’s Bar and Grill in San Antonio Tlayacapan. The mouth-watering spread will include pork ribs, beef ribs, chicken, lamb and sausages accompanied by potato salad and beans.
As they dine, guests will catch panoramic views of Lake Chapala while enjoying entertainment provided by Jay Shuffle and the Jam Band, from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by Chef Tony and accompanists performing romantic Mexican tunes.
From 2006-2015, the Shrine Club spent 2,740,336 pesos to transport 822 Lakeside children and their parents to the Shrine Hospital in Mexico City for free treatment, as well arranging local care for another 611 children needing braces, orthopedic shoes and minor surgeries.
