Golfers alert! Play for fun, fabulous prizes and a noble cause at the Sangrita de la Casa Torneo de Golf, set for Thursday, October 6, at the Chapala Country Club in Vista del Lago.
Leading a long list of special awards are a brand new Mazda automobile offered for scoring the first hole-in-one at Hole No. Four and a golf cart for the first hole-in-one at Hole No. Eight, as well as trophies for first, second and third place winners. Other prizes include a flat screen TV, a mountain bike, wine baskets and various resort vacation packages.
The contest is open to singles and teams of two or four players. The registration fee of 1,800 pesos includes green fee, golf cart rental, welcome kit, continental breakfast, and a place at the awards banquet. Tickets for guests attending the luncheon are available for 250 pesos.
Proceeds will go towards health care programs for impoverished people in vulnerable communities, operating under the wing of Fundación Cambiando Jalisco. The non-profit organization is spearheaded by Sagrario Diáz de Sandoval, the mother of Jalisco’s governor.
