La Casa del Músico is ready to swing open its doors Friday, October 27, 3-5 p.m., at Calle La Paz 59, one block south of the village plaza in San Antonio Tlayacapan.
The grand opening celebration for the new restaurant-music hall will feature live entertainment by jazz duo Mike Leisenbach and Karen Procter, pianist Mario Mendoza and a mariachi troupe. Guests will be welcomed at the entrance with complimentary samples of selected dishes from the bistro’s innovative menu. Proprietor Antonio Enciso has put together a strong team of experienced chefs, including Laura Martínez on the breakfast shift, María Esther Nava in charge of daily specials and Leopoldo Garcia as grill meister. The menu will vary each day to highlight all-American fare, vegetarian and pasta dishes, original Mexican recipes, grilled meats and seafood.
A wide range of genres will be represented by musicians brought in to perform on different days. Regular business hours will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The ample venue is also available for booking special events.
