Home Church Int’l
Did you ever hear, “That’s as phony as a three-dollar bill?” It’s illegal, but not a counterfeit. A dictionary definition of counterfeit is “made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud.” Another description is “substitute.” A one-dollar bill can be counterfeited for reasons shown above. Somewhat of a look-alike, yet a worthless substitute. A horde of other “knock-offs” flood the human marketplace.
What about our personal value system? Spiritual and eternal understanding is no different. Everyone has a longing inside to satisfy their need for meaning and purpose. Our creator/sustainer God has placed that in us for His design. Yet, those who don’t know Him or acknowledge Him will create or seek counterfeits, thus missing the mark. There are self-serving faith counterfeits spouted by many, anything to avoid eternal relationship with the one, true living God, Jehovah, made possible only through His Son, Jesus Christ. Pastors Paul and Susana Allen urge your awakening to Him, discarding the counterfeits.
