More than 1,000 Mexican and expat residents showed up at the Ajijic plaza Sunday, October 21 to sign a petition to demonstrate citizen opposition to the construction of high rise housing complexes in the town’s neighboring mountain range.
So far, neither the Vigilantes de la Ribera watchdog group nor Chapala authorities have revealed details of alleged development plans for the zone.
