Chapala Mayor Moisés Anaya and Jalisco Governor Enrique Alfaro co-signed a pact to initiate upgrades of the municipal market, located adjacent to the Chapala town plaza.
The first phase of the project will entail an investment of five million pesos to remodel flooring, public bathrooms and other common areas of the facility.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will pony up 70 percent of the funding, with the municipality covering the remainder.
