Sunday, October 27, the Reverend Jim Priddy will preside and preach at St. Andrew’s service of Holy Eucharist, 10 a.m. Coffee hour, a time of fellowship and welcome, follows the service.
St. Andrew’s annual Harvest Comida – a joint celebration of the Canadian and the U.S. Thanksgivings – will be held Monday, November 4. Social hour at 1 p.m., dinner at 2 p.m., catered by Pedro of Go Bistro. More details to come.
Operation Feed welcomes donations of non-perishable food items every Sunday. Boxed milk and empty cardboard egg cartons are especially welcome, in addition to rice, beans, pasta, lentils, garbanzos, oats, oil and salt. The parish distributes the donations to Lakeside’s neediest families.
Decluttering? If so, don’t forget Todo Bueno. Donations or consignments benefit St. Andrew’s Outreach Ministry. Everything from clothing, kitchenware, electronics, books, furniture, appliances, collectibles to sports equipment are welcomed.

“I therefore, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3.) Being a disciple isn’t a one-time event or something we do every once in a while; it is the daily interaction with Him. It is the step-by-step, one-foot-in-front-of-the-other walk that brings spiritual growth. It begins with the first step of salvation, and continues daily by us walking with Christ. Others will recognize us as Christians when they see us “walk the walk.” When we are seen doing or saying things that are not in the Spirit of Christ’s love and commandments, we undermine Him in their sight. We must remain worthy of His Salvation by daily walking with Him.

Sunday, October 27, at the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Karawynn Long will present “Happiness is a Cold Shower.”

“Disciple” is the primary New Testament word used for a Christian, a dedicated follower, more apprentice than student. Most living things grow naturally: a baby, a tree. So it seems odd the disciple is instructed to “grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.”
Last week began a discipleship series, starting with “The Cost of Discipleship.” This week, Dr. Cook and Pastor Carolyn will tag team on “The Growth of a Disciple.”

Christ Church
Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the 20th Sunday after Pentecost, October 27, by celebrating the Holy Eucharist Rite Two at 11 a.m. in La Huerta Events Center. Rev. Jim Powers will celebrate and Jerry Stiles will give a message with the theme, “Tribalism.” based on Luke 18:9-14.
Coffee is available before the service and coffee and refreshments are served after the service.
Sunday School (in Spanish) convenes during the service at the Gospel Reading. Young people are welcome to share this time of lessons and discovery.

Miracles are for today. Some think that there was a time when miracles were performed in the Bible but that the time for miracles has long since passed. The Bible has no expiration date. Salvation is still available to you today just like all the other promises found in the Bible. Knowing that the greatest healing possible is found when we move from death to life in salvation, we have to recognize that miracles happen every day.
Sunday, October 27, Pastor Gary encourages the sick, hurting and oppressed with a message of hope and healing. God still moves mountains to have the sinner come to Him.

Probably many people know something about a trust agreement. Simply put, a trust agreement is a document that spells out the rules you want followed for property held in trust for your beneficiaries. As evidenced by its very name, the person creating the trust is creating a security that all matters will be implemented as intended. We would all like to place our trust in certain persons. It gives us some peace of mind.
Placing valuable trust is never to be taken lightly. It is believing in the reliability of the one in whom the trust is placed. This is why trust is paramount in the Christian’s life. To not trust destroys faith and unity. In Proverbs 3:5 we are awakened with “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” Applied here in its original Hebrew, it means to be confident and sure. True believers are called to trust in the one, true living God and His Word. Pastors Paul and Susana Allen exhort all believers to build trust relationships among the body of believers.
