On a fine day for golfing, 92 players took to the links Thursday, November 7 at the Country Club de Chapala for the 15th annual Cruz Roja Golf Classic tournament.
Afterwards, competitors and guests enjoyed a fine comida and went home with great bargains from the silent auction.
In a close competition, the team of Jack Warren, John Stephenson, Robert Hines and Mark Eager walked away with this year’s trophy, holding off the challenge of Ken Koyama, Johan Dirkes, Rodney Brooks and Daniel Verdusco. Not far behind was the team of Chip Deacon, Brian Whiteford, Jim Wileman and Tim Lang.
Tournament organizers are grateful to club members and staff, event sponsors and the tireless volunteer assistants who also contributed to the success of this fundraising effort. Their generosity allows the Chapala Delegation of the Red Cross to continue in all of their services at lakeside, including the 24/7 clinic and ambulances, training courses, community outreach, youth programs and disaster relief when called.
