Heart of hope for young Mexican cancer patients

Corazón de Esperanza, a giant heart-shaped wire cage set up at the Chapala Malecón two weeks ago, is quickly filling up with contributions of plastic bottle and jar caps that will be turned into cash resources to support children afflicted by cancer.

This nationwide fund-raising campaign is organized by the non-profit Banco de Tapitas, A.C., a Mexico City-based non-profit (bancodetapitas.org).
