The Lakeside Garden Guild’s 51st Annual Floral Art and Design Show was held on Saturday, November 16.
This historically sold out show, hosted at the original Hacienda Del Lago, was a perfect location to chat, snack on hors d’oeuvres and toast the stunning 36 floral designs. The Guild participants composed beautiful floral interpretations of this year’s theme, “Sanctuaries for the Soul,” in keeping with the art of the Hacienda.
As a new feature for this year, many of the displays were available for sale during the show. Every one of them sold.
The proceeds of this event are reserved for the community projects that the Lakeside Garden Guild offers to the area each year. This past year’s community project was the renovation of the Ajijic Malecon footbridges.
Since 1968, Lakeside Garden Guild members have enjoyed monthly instructive programs on botanical or floral design subjects or related topics. Each November, the Floral Art and Design Show hosts 300 guests to peruse floral arrangements created by the members of Lakeside Garden Guild.
