Hundreds of partygoers will ring in 2020 at the Chapala waterfront Tuesday, December 31, as the local government once again hosts a lively New Year’s Eve bash for all comers.
The festivities start at 10 p.m. with two hours of live music for dancing under the stars, followed by a glittery fireworks show over the lake, blasting off at the stroke of midnight.
The celebration is open to the public free of charge. It’s a bring-your-own everything affair, where many folks will arrive well ahead of time to set up their own portable tables and chairs, carry in supplies of food and drinks and get in the mood to bid farewell to the end of the decade.
