Essentials of Elderhood course offered at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

“We grew up with an idea of growing old as becoming weaker and less capable. Our life here at Lakeside disproves this idea.

pg26We are the oldest and healthiest generation ever. What does it really mean to be an elder of this generation?” asks Richard Clarke, who, with his wife Carol Johnson, will lead a course to deal with these issues to be held at the facilities of the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Last year, Clarke offered the successful “From Age-ing to Sage-ing” course, based on the popular book of the same name. This year, the Elderhood course has been enhanced, and called “Essentials of Elderhood.” The aim is to equip Lakeside residents with the internal tools needed for a successful and vibrant Elderhood.
