Representatives of the U.S. Consulate General travel to the Chapala area once each month to provide assistance to citizens. Limited outreach consular services include passport renewals, replacements of lost or stolen passports and document notarizations.
The scheduled visits announced for 2020 will be on the second Wednesday of the month, except for November when it it set for one week later. The dates are January 8, February 12, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, Ocotober 14, November 18 and December 9.
The staff stops first at American Legion Chapala Post 7, Morelos 114, Chapala, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., continuing at the Lake Chapala Society, 16 de Septiembre 16-A, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., attending those present on a first-come, first-served basis.
