Lake Chapala Baptist

“As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you abandon Him, He will reject you forever.” (1 Chronicles 28:9.)

God sees the thoughts and intentions of everyone. He sees how our actions reflect His word and His will. He expects us to serve Him with our bodies, souls, and minds. If you seek the Lord, He will be found.  There are no more comforting words in the Bible than this. We can cry out to the Lord, and He will answer. He is not trying to hide from us, nor is He putting obstacles in our way. All God wants is for us to seek Him. Go to Him today and pour out your heart.

Lake Chapala Baptist Church is at Santa Margarita 147, Riberas del Pilar. English-language Sunday school, 9:45 a.m.; English-language worship service, 11 a.m., and Spanish-language worship service, 12:30 p.m.

Lakeside Presbyterian

What on earth are we here for? We are starting a new sermon series this week beginning a 40-day spiritual journey to work through “The Purpose-Driven Life,” by Rick Warren. The point of this journey is to transform our lives, to help us figure out exactly what we’re here for, according to what the Bible tells us about our purpose.

A post-service forum will be held in the library for deeper discussion. You can buy an electronic version of “The Purpose-Driven Life” at Amazon.com. In Kindle Unlimited, the book is free.

LPC volunteers continue to feed those in need, and all contributions are welcome:  tomato puree, chicken base cubes, boxed milk (whole), eggs, nuts, fresh food (potatoes, onions, carrots, zucchini, fruit).  Every bit helps ... if we share, there will be enough for everyone!

Come sing with us Tuesday, February 4, 1 p.m. at our Social Drop-In 60s Community Singalong.
