The pandemic continues to demand our courage and best efforts; thankfully, our personal deprivations and sacrifices of freedom have borne fruit; to our best knowledge, none of our parishioners nor their families have fallen prey to COVID.

Our friends and families help us in small ways to “Carry On and Keep Smiling.” Last week, we quoted inspirational Inbox offerings, this week we offer a little levity: “Adam and Eve were the first people not to read the Apple Terms & Conditions.”

Last week, Martin Thorner’s team delivered 45 despensas; imagine the joy those deliveries brought, families knowing they would eat for the coming week! Abundant Life Church

God is in control. Government, pharmaceutical companies, Facebook and YouTube are not the last words on what is happening in our world and lives. God sees everything and is surprised by none of what is happening. As believers we can be assured that God is watching and has full control. Sunday, August 2, 10 a.m., Pastor Gary takes us to the Word of God for encouragement. Knowing that God´s eyes are upon us can give us great hope in desperate times.

We are limited to 50 people. Those who cannot be with us in person will enjoy our services both on our Facebook page and at abundantlifechapala.com.

Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico. English Bible study is Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Abundant Life Church is located at Carretera Chapala-Joco 140 in San Antonio Tlayacapan.

2 Timothy 3:16: “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.

This verse says that Scripture is inspired or “God breathed.” Notice that the object of God’s breath is the written Scriptures; the actual human writers aren’t mentioned. They were involved, of course, but the forming of Scripture is referred to as God’s activity. Many people today discount the value of the Bible but God says it’s profitable and four areas are mentioned here. It’s profitable for teaching. That tells me what is right. It’s profitable for reproof which tells me what is not right. It’s profitable for correction, which tells me how to get right. And it’s profitable for training in righteousness. That tells me how to keep right. You can’t get a better guidebook for life because it was given to us by God. Read it, study it, memorize it and obey it. That way you can share in the profits.

The church meets online every Sunday at 10 a.m.
