Graffiti discovered early Monday, November 9, marring one side of the Chapala plaza bandstand’s stone base sparked a flurry of messages from angry citizens shared through local social networks.
The municipal government echoed their outrage in a Facebook post that read: “We condemn this and any type of vandalism that demonstrates the unconsciousness and irresponsibility of people who damage public spaces that belong to everyone.”
The identity of the midnight marauders armed with gold spray paint remains unknown.
