Thanksgiving day options

As Thanksgiving Day gatherings are limited during this pandemic year, cooking for two or four is sometimes not the best idea unless you want to be eating turkey leftovers through Christmas. Lakeside restaurants, however, are offering a variety of options for those inclined to order to eat out or carry out.

pg17aAmerican Legion Post 7 Chapala is offering a limited sit-down turkey dinner for 300 pesos. Carry out orders can be reserved through Saturday, November 21, at 376-765-2259. Tickets for the 3 p.m. seating, if still available, can be purchased at the Legion, Morelos 114, Chapala.

Armando’s Hideaway is serving a Waldorf salad, turkey and all the trimmings, pumpkin pie and a glass of house wine, Kahlua or brandy for 350 pesos. Ocampo 18, Ajijic. Reservations: 376-766-2229.

Bobby’s Gourmet will host chef Roberto’s last T-Day dinner for 395 pesos. On the menu is fresh crab and carrot croquettes, Black Forest wild mushroom bisque, holiday salad, and choice of turkey with the trimmings, baked ham, beef brisket au Foie Gras or salmon Dijonese, finished with pumpkin mousse tartlet topped with pecan crumble and whipped cream.
